Erika Smith, Dean of College at Connecticut College, approached me about customizing two pairs of Converse Chuck Taylors -- one for her and one for college president Katherine Bergeron. We chose to use the school's colors - light blue, navy blue, and white - and feature the college's logo, icon, and camel mascot.

Yo Soy Custom's CEO Alexis Munoz has known Erika since attending undergrad at Brandeis University. Erica was the Dean of Academic Services at Brandeis and directed the Transitional Year Program of which Alexis is an alumnus. Erika has been following Alex's progress with Yo Soy Custom and jumped at the chance to support the company while outfitting her and her President in style.

Undoubtedly Ms. President and Ms. Dean of College are the hippest non-students on campus when they wear their hand-painted custom kicks.
